embracing nutrition and functional medicine, the UK's first Functional Medicine Practice with online consultations

Supporting those on a cancer journey

At Embracing Nutrition, we are committed to supporting individuals at every stage of their cancer journey. Our team of practitioners brings diverse expertise and lived experience, united by a passion for integrative oncology and patient-centred care.

What is Integrative Oncology?

Integrative oncology is a patient-centred, evidence-informed approach that combines conventional cancer treatments with complementary therapies, lifestyle modifications, and nutritional strategies. The goal is to improve quality of life, minimise side effects, and empower patients to take an active role in their health.
We apply the latest evidence and research, alongside functional and genomic testing, to understand what is happening inside your body. From there, we design personalised protocols that address your unique needs—supporting you physically, emotionally, and nutritionally.

Our Practitioners

Jo’s passion for cancer support began over 20 years ago when her daughter underwent chemotherapy. Determined to help minimise side effects, Jo pursued advanced training in integrative oncology, completing her Fellowship with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She has also trained under Dr Nasha Winters in the Metabolic Approach to Cancer. Jo specialises in combining natural modalities with conventional treatment to improve wellbeing and resilience.

Susie’s dedication to cancer support was shaped by her parents’ diagnoses. She trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and has specialised in oncology nutrition through advanced study with Dr Carol Granger and Dr Nalini Chilkov. Susie is also a certified Terrain Advocate with the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health. With her background as a chef, she creates practical, nourishing meal plans and recipes to help clients sustain healthy changes. Susie collaborates closely with oncology teams and volunteers with cancer support groups, offering webinars and tailored nutrition guidance.

Jinder’s journey began when her mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2001. Since then, she has dedicated her career to cancer research and nutritional therapy, with a strong focus on prevention and metabolic health. As a BRCA1 carrier herself, Jinder brings personal insight into genetic risk and lifestyle-based strategies. She is currently training under Dr Nasha Winters in the Metabolic Approach to Cancer and has extensive experience with functional testing, nutrigenomics, and advanced laboratory analysis. Jinder empowers clients to understand how nutrition, lifestyle, and environment can influence their health outcomes.

Your protocol will be unique to you, designed to support your wellbeing alongside conventional treatment.
