About Lottie Strutt
BSc Dip CNM
Functional Medicine trained Nutritional Therapist
Lottie’s passion has always been to make a difference to people’s wellness. Lottie trained as a physiotherapist graduating in 2007 where she worked across many areas of health, creating the well-rounded knowledge she has about the body, including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and women’s health, focussing on post-birth recovery, prolapse, urinary and bowel incontinence. Her long-standing passion in children’s health took her to become a highly specialised children’s physiotherapist, working with cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, learning and physical disabilities, ASD, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, as well as joint and muscular problems like Muscular dystrophy, hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Juvenile arthritis.
Lottie has always been able to use her expert hands-on skills to know where support was needed to develop, yet she started to realise that without the building blocks of nutrition for optimal health being established, physio wasn’t always as effective as she desired and there was more to progress than just physically input.
After her personal experience of severe immune dysfunction; being diagnosed with multiple auto-immune diseases, and a primary Immunodeficiency, Lottie visited a functional medicine practitioner to seek more answers than the NHS could provide, and the outcome was life-changing. This gave her the opportunity to see first-hand the holistic approach to true health and wellbeing that cannot be found when you merely fight fires downstream. If you are asking the question as to why you find yourself unwell, or out of balance, you need to look upstream to the cause, Lottie will help you find answers for these important questions.
Lottie trained as a Nutritional Therapist through the College of Naturopathic Medicine and has travelled to America to train in the concepts of functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Personalised Lifestyle Medicine Institute.
Lottie is also training as a Fellow, to gain a Fellowship specialising with children attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Lottie has been in a full emersion at Embracing Nutrition for over a year and continues to train and work deeply with functional medicine at the core of all areas of work.
