Blood and urine samples are required for the General Health MOT; if you choose any add on tests, a buccal swab is also required.

The blood sample need to be drawn by a phlebotomist and centrifuged before it is returned to the lab. Recommendations for phlebotomy services will be provided after the order has been received.  Prices for these services vary depending on your location.

Samples must be received at the laboratory within 24 hours of the blood draw. Do not book a blood draw on Friday or Sunday. The cost of the courier to return sample is not included in the price.

If medically appropriate, non-essential medications, supplements and nutrient fortified foods/beverages should be discontinued. Please consult your practitioner before stopping any supplements.

24 hours before taking the test, please eat your usual diet. Avoid over-consuming any single food and seafood must be avoided. Fluid intake should be limited to 1.5 litres to ensure accuracy of the urine sample the following morning.

An overnight fast is required prior to having the blood test.

2. Collect Your Sample at Home
   Every test comes with clear instructions on how to collect your samples.
3. Return Your Test
   Once you’ve collected your sample, it needs to be sent for guaranteed next-day delivery or via courier. Please do not send samples on a Friday. The cost of the courier is not included in the price.
4. Analysis and Result Interpretation
   Once processed, your results will be sent to us. We can then provide you with this information directly.
