Mycotoxin profile

£467.00

Mycotoxins are produced by certain mould species and can come from many sources, including buildings, vehicles, and food. These compounds have wide ranging, chronic adverse health impacts.

The Mycotoxin Profile is a state-of-the-art urine assay that accurately assesses levels of 11 different mycotoxins, including Aflatoxin M1, Ochratoxin A, Zearalenone, and Trichothecenes, to uncover mycotoxin exposure and guide prevention and recovery.

  • Unexplained chronic illnesses

·       Have compromised immune systems or higher levels of oxidative stress

  • A history of food poisoning since some mycotoxins are found in contaminated food
  • Chronic respiratory problems
  • Specific conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, neurological disorders, or autoimmune diseases where mycotoxin exposure is a suspected contributor.

The Mycotoxin Profile measures the following mycotoxins:

  • Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1)
  • Chaetoglobosin A
  • Citrinin
  • Enniatin B
  • Gliotoxin
  • Mycophenolic acid
  • Ochratoxin A (OTA)
  • Roridin E
  • Sterigmatocystin (STG)

The Mycotoxin Profile is a urine test and requires a first morning urine sample

Your sample needs to be sent using guaranteed next day delivery or via courier – (not included in price).

You can hold the sample in the freezer if the next day is not a working day in the UK.

Up to 32 working days.

Stop taking probiotics 2 weeks before the test.

Do not consume alcohol for 48 hours prior to collection.

Limit liquid intake starting at 6pm the night prior to collection to avoid sample dilution.

Fasting for 12 hours may increase the excretion of mycotoxins from the adipose tissue.

Females must not collect samples during menstruation.

Taking antimicrobials could potentially alter the fungal load in the body and influence the detoxification pathways, leading to altered levels of mycotoxins in the urine. This could result in lower detectable levels of mycotoxins during a urine test. Please speak to your practitioner if you are currently taking any antifungals.

It is advised that clients stay on all necessary medications.
