Key Information

This test is one of the most advanced gastrointestinal evaluations available, offering over 250 biomarker insights into gut health, immune function, and chronic disease risk. It is particularly suitable for individuals experiencing:

  • Digestive symptoms (bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, mucus in stools)
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) — ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease
  • Concern regarding pathogens such as Candida or parasites
  • Depression, anxiety, or cognitive fog
  • Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia or pain syndromes
  • Autoimmune or immune-related conditions
  • Neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders

Given that 70–80% of the immune system resides in the gut, stool testing is highly recommended for individuals with allergies, skin conditions, or autoimmune diseases.

The GI360 assesses 253 biomarkers across core domains:

  • Inflammation and Immune function — Lactoferrin, Calprotectin, Lysozyme, sIgA
  • Digestion and absorption markers — Elastase, fat stain, carbohydrates, SCFA profile
  • Gut barrier integrity and metabolic health — β-glucuronidase, pH, occult blood
  • Microbiome composition — 45 commensal bacteria by PCR with diversity index
  • Pathogens and dysbiosis — Identification of parasites, yeast, and pathogenic bacteria
  • Bacterial and yeast sensitivities — to both natural and pharmaceutical agents

You will need to collect stool sample over 3 days. It is preferable, though not required, to collect on consecutive days; however, the final collection must be made within 7 days of the first.

6-8 working days after arriving in the laboratory.

2 weeks before collecting your samples for the stool test, where possible, you must refrain from taking: Antibiotics, anti-parasitics, antifungals (including natural antimicrobials), probiotic supplements, anti-inflammatories, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and Bismuth. For prescribed medications please consult your GP before making any changes.

2 days before doing the stool test refrain from taking: Aspirin and other NSAIDs, digestive enzymes, laxatives (particularly mineral oil and castor oil), activated charcoal, betaine HCl, antacids, bentonite clay and any other medications unless advised differently by your doctor.
