This test is for those who have experienced persistent or relapsing fatigue for 6 months or more with no clear cause. This is typically accompanied by other symptoms such as:

• Impaired memory or concentration
• A persistent feeling of coming down with an illness
• Muscle and joint pain
• Headaches
• Unrefreshing sleep
• Post-exertion malaise

The Adrenal Stress Profile checks levels of cortisol and DHEA, the two steroid hormones that assist the body in managing stress. These hormones also influence energy levels, metabolism, thyroid function and sex hormones.  Imbalances in these hormones can result in a wide range of symptoms from low energy and exhaustion to loss of drive and motivation, depression and hormonal problems.

The Metabolic Analysis Test offers a comprehensive metabolic snapshot of overall health.  It includes mitochondrial markers, which are associated energy production, nutritional markers indicating an individuals needs for vitamins and minerals, and markers for toxin and detoxification capabilities.

First morning urine collection; two tubes of 5ml each.

Four saliva samples taken at specific time points throughout the day.

Ketoconazole, clomiphene, phenytoin, steroids, and DHEA will influence the results of the Adrenal Stress Profile. Do not change or discontinue medications unless instructed to do so by your healthcare provider, but make sure your therapist knows about these and any other medications and supplements you have used in the past 3 months.

On the day of the adrenal stress index test: avoid caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine.

Do not eat, brush or floss teeth, use mouthwash, or chew gum 1 hour before you take each sample.

Avoid wearing lipstick or lip balm.

4 days before collecting your samples for the Metabolic Analysis, you should avoid apples, grapes (including raisins), pears, cranberries and their juices, as well discontinuing any non-essential supplements to get a “baseline” reading.

Please note supplements containing arabinogalactan, echinacea, reishi mushrooms, and ribose interfere directly with the test results.

Women should not collect urine during their period.

   Every test comes with clear instructions on how to collect your samples.
3. Return Your Test
   Once you’ve collected your sample, simply return it to the lab using the prepaid shipping label included in your kit. Your samples need to be sent guaranteed next day delivery or via courier please do not send samples on a Friday.
4. Analysis and Result Interpretation
   Once processed, your results will be sent to us. We can then provide you with this information directly.
