Ingredients

  • 250g lamb shoulder or leg, diced
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 150g spinach, chopped
  • 100ml water or bone broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, sauté onion until golden.
  2. Add garlic and lamb, brown on all sides.
  3. Add spices, stir well, then add water or broth. Simmer for 25–30 minutes.
  4. Stir in spinach and cook for another 5 minutes.

 

Why it’s good for gut health:
Spinach provides fibre and magnesium. Ghee adds butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that supports a healthy gut lining.
