Ingredients
- 250g lamb shoulder or leg, diced
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 150g spinach, chopped
- 100ml water or bone broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan, sauté onion until golden.
- Add garlic and lamb, brown on all sides.
- Add spices, stir well, then add water or broth. Simmer for 25–30 minutes.
- Stir in spinach and cook for another 5 minutes.
Why it’s good for gut health:
Spinach provides fibre and magnesium. Ghee adds butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid that supports a healthy gut lining.
