Ingredients

  • 150g Coconut Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 200g Ground Almonds
  • 1tsp Baking Powder
  • 1tsp Cinnamon
  • 150g Butter or coconut oil
  • 80g Cocoa
  • 100g Dark Chocolate (preferably high quality)
  • A handful of Dates (chopped)
  • Flaked Almonds

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 160 degrees
  2. Whisk the eggs with the coconut sugar. Add the ground almonds, baking powder, and cinnamon
  3. Melt your butter or coconut oil with the cocoa and add your chopped-up dark chocolate, some chopped dates and some flaked almonds.
  4. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a lined cake tin.
  5. Cook for 35 minutes at 160 degrees C.
  6. Serve with a dollop of yoghurt and some berries or pomegranate seeds.
