Ingredients
- 2 courgettes, chopped
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup filtered water or vegetable broth (low histamine)
- Handful fresh basil
- Pinch of sea salt
Method
- Sauté onion and courgettes in olive oil for 5 minutes.
- Add water, bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Blend with basil and a pinch of salt until smooth.
Why this is good for lowering histamine:
Courgette is easy to digest and low in histamine. Basil contains eugenol, which can inhibit mast cell activation and reduce histamine response.
