Ingredients

  • 2 apples (sliced)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup walnuts (chopped)

  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. Layer apples in a baking dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with maple syrup.

  3. Mix walnuts, flaxseeds, and coconut oil. Spread over apples.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes until golden.


Why it’s good for gut health:

Apples provide pectin, a natural prebiotic. Walnuts and flaxseeds add omega-3s and fibre, both beneficial for gut bacteria and inflammation.
